Verify contact independently
Hang up and use the published number, 1300 144 878, or email info@claimhelpline.com.au. Do not rely on a number or link supplied by the caller. A familiar business name or caller ID is not proof of identity.
Protect your information
Pause before sharing passwords, verification codes, banking information or identity documents. Avoid opening unexpected links or attachments. Independently verify any request before acting on it.
If you have already shared information
Contact your bank promptly if financial information or a payment is involved. Seek the guidance appropriate to the information exposed. Scamwatch explains practical steps to protect yourself and where to get further help.
Report a suspected scam
You can report suspected scams through the official Scamwatch website. You may also let Australian Claim Helpline know about suspected impersonation using the published contact details. Reporting here is not a substitute for contacting your bank or the appropriate authorities.
