About this service
Australian Claim Helpline provides general information about injury and compensation matters and a free enquiry service that can connect you with a suitably qualified lawyer or service provider. We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice. Using this website or sending an enquiry does not create a lawyer and client relationship with us. Any legal service is provided by the independent lawyer or provider you choose to engage, under their own agreement with you.
Using the information
The information on this website is general information only. It does not take account of your full circumstances and is not a determination of eligibility, liability or compensation. Laws, schemes and time limits differ between states and territories and change over time. Obtain advice about your own situation before relying on anything published here.
Making an enquiry
Provide accurate contact details and only information you are entitled to share. The forms are for initial enquiries, not for emergencies (call 000) or for serving legal documents. Sending a form does not lodge an insurance claim, start court proceedings, appoint a lawyer or stop a time limit. Time limits can be short, so seek advice promptly rather than waiting for a response.
Contacting you
By ticking the consent box you agree that we may call or email you about your enquiry, including if your number is on the Do Not Call Register, for up to three months or until you ask us to stop. We call only within the hours permitted by the Telemarketing and Research Calls Industry Standard, we identify ourselves and our purpose, and we stop if you ask. Our privacy policy explains how your information is handled and how to withdraw consent.
Costs, referrals and fee arrangements
There is no charge to you for using this website, making an enquiry or completing the claim check. If we refer you to a lawyer or provider, any professional fees, expenses and No Win No Fee terms are set out by that provider in a written costs agreement before any work begins. If we receive a referral fee or other benefit, the provider must disclose it to you as required by law, and you are free to choose any other lawyer. No outcome, amount of compensation or timeframe is promised or guaranteed by anyone.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the forms, impersonate another person, send unlawful or offensive material or interfere with website security. We may block automated or abusive use to protect legitimate enquiries, and we may decline to act on an enquiry that appears to be false.
Content and external links
We aim to keep the information accurate, but legal and scheme requirements change. Links to other organisations are provided for reference; inclusion does not mean we endorse them or are connected with them, and their content is their responsibility. Text, images and branding on this website may not be reproduced without permission.
Liability and consumer guarantees
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information on this website or from the services of any independent provider we refer you to.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. We may update them from time to time; the version published on this website applies. Questions about these terms can be sent to info@claimhelpline.com.au or raised on 1300 144 878.
